After several attempts, this woman found the right method to keep fresh lettuce for weeks!
This is the right time of the year to try this stuff since lettuces are big and affordable: buy several on sale and do like this.
Cut or tear lettuce into pieces.
Rinse the lettuce in cold water and let it drain in a colander for 1 hour.
Dry the lettuce with a paper towel, then put it in a large Ziplock bag or several small bags to get ready-to-use portions.
Insert paper towels into each bag: it will absorb moisture, so if you notice that the paper towel is damp, replace it quickly.
Close the bags by removing as much air as possible from the bags.
Sealed in bags and stored in the refrigerator, protected from moisture, lettuce keeps several weeks without becoming sticky and without fading.
