Maybe you should turn to natural solutions. Plus, you'll save money!
Here are 6 new tips to get rid of ants for the rest of the summer!
Always be careful if you have young children and pets.
Corn starch alters the digestion of ants. Feeling danger, they will not return. Spread cornstarch out where the ants bother you the most!
Baking soda and powdered sugar:
A mixture that will kill the ants slowly. They are attracted by these ingredients, so it is a perfect trap. Mix them in equal parts and place the mixture where you have the most ants.
Apple cider vinegar:
Mix apple vinegar evenly with warm water to clean the kitchen. In addition to being an effective cleanser, it will keep the ants away.
Ideally, pure lemon juice is even more effective, but could also be diluted with water. Spray the lemon juice on the edge of the windows and the entrance doors. In addition to warding off ants, it will leave a nice fragrance.
Herbs and Spices:
Laurel leaves, ground pepper, mint, cinnamon powder, chili powder, clove, and cayenne are all products that will stop the ants. Entering the house will become quite a challenge for these little critters!
Just spread the cereal in the places most affected by the ants, the sugar of the cereal attracts them and a chemical reaction causes the ants to inflate.
Sugar and Borax:
Ants love sugar but do not like borax. Borax is a product to bleach laundry and you can find it in large Walmart stores.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
1) Add 125 mL (1/2 cup) sugar and 1.5 tsp. of Borax in an empty jar
2) Add 2 cups of boiling water and mix until dissolved
3) Soak cotton balls in this solution
4) Place these balls strategically
5) In less than 24 hours the work will be done
Super simple and very economical, but so effective!
HOW TO MAKE IT:
1) Boil a large pot of water and add a lot of cayenne pepper.
2) With oven mitts go outside and pour spicy boiling water over the sidewalk cracks and wherever you see ants.
