How often do you wake up at night to urinate? If it's 2 times and more, it's probably not what you drink that makes you want to!
A study in Japan of 300 volunteers identified salt as being the responsible of night pee!
Participants were followed for 3 months, and those with sleeping problems were asked to cut down on their salt intake.
Result? By cutting salt from their diet, volunteers who woke up 2 times and more each night saw their natural needs fall to 1 per night! The number of visits to the toilet during the day also fell among these participants.
98 participants were also asked to increase salt intake: Yes, they all went to the bathroom more often every day and even at night!
Researchers therefore recommend that those who wake up several times a night cut into their salt intake to see a difference.
Will you try?
