If you do not have the chance of owning a self-cleaning oven, you should regularly clean the inside of the oven yourself. And this is one of the most unpleasant chores of all!
I have long done it, on all fours, head in the oven to rub: I know how annoying it is!
Here is a method that will change everything: you will only have to wipe the dirt the next day and the rubbing should be minimal.
The trick is to drop a bowl containing 2 cups of ammonia in cold oven, on the middle grid.
**Do not heat the oven with ammonia inside, the air will become toxic quickly!
Close the oven door and wait 12 hours before opening.
Ammonia releases vapors which will cause the residues of glued food and fat to peel off.
Do not breathe by opening the oven door !!!These same vapors are not very good for the lungs!
Quickly remove the bowl from the oven and transfer the ammonia into its bottle. The cleaning product has not really served, it is still good for next time!
To finish cleaning the oven, use a wet sponge or cloth to remove all dirt. You will see how easy the work is!
Tell yourself you've been sleeping while it was getting cleaned by itself!
