Combine heat from your oven and lemon to kill fruit flies

Fruit flies are tough and hard to kill. But here's a brilliant trick! And you do not need to wait 1 week as with the trick of cider vinegar! Place a lemon cut in half on the oven rack and leave the door partially opened all night. Flies will be attracted. In the morning, close the oven door and turn it on for a few minutes. Turn off the oven, let it cool down, throw the lemon halves and clean the oven thoroughly.
