I am stunned by this transformation. Seriously, I couldn't believe it if I haven't seen the pictures, and the result is so beautiful.
She is a single mother who could not afford to change her kitchen countertop, and yet it needed it.
She has done some research to find the cheapest way to make it but she also wanted a beautiful kitchen. And she found it!
She renovated her countertop ... with paper!
As materials, she used thick kraft paper (industrial), white glue, dye and varnished epoxy.
First she teared up the paper into several pieces.
Then, she mixed the glue with water (1 cup of glue for 2 cups of water).
Then she put her kraft paper in the glue.
Now it's time to stick the papers on the countertop, you need to press to remove the glue and to draw the pieces closer.
She let the countertop dry overnight.
The next day, she dyed all the paper.
When she applyed an epoxy varnish the countertop becomes beautiful!
Epoxy is as hard as glass, her countertop will last for years!
The before-after change is amazing!
Is not it gorgeous? This beautiful kitchen countertop costed her less than $65, I admire her because the result is really really beautiful!
