Are you a fan of old barns that have been transformed?

This cottage is an amazing barn conversion dating back to the 18th century.

It used to be the farmhouse and well before that, the barn was used by the carter and his draft horses.

The owners, who worked on this transformation, took care to use traditional techniques such as lime plaster to preserve the style and longevity of the building.

The interior has been beautifully designed and even has a wood burning stove. This ancestral barn is in England but its transformation is so pretty, that I thought I'd share it with you, for the pleasure of seeing beautiful things.

Outside

Renovating and transforming an 18th century building must not be an easy thing to do. As mentioned above, the owners took care to renovate the building so that it will last through the years and keep its character. Wait to see what's inside!

Open area

This building, which has in fact become a cottage that can be rented, is so beautiful that people who spend a weekend here want to live in it all year round!

The living room, the dining room and the kitchen form a beautiful large area that opens onto a mezzanine.

Living room

The living-room offers a friendly place to relax by the stove. To avoid a dark open area, the owners have thought to integrate a large, high window.

The kitchen

The kitchen is nice, small but very functional. There is even a lunch counter, convenient for sitting and having a snack.

Dining room

The dining room offers a simple wooden table, a simple and elegant The beauty of this barn is certainly in its simplicity!

Mezzanine 

I love the mezzanine of this cottage! It houses a large bedroom, open on the ground floor. Look at the beautiful original wooden beams that add beautiful character to this old barn!

Bathroom

Do not forget that this barn dates back to the 18th century! Are you as impressed as I am to see how much the building has been transformed with taste?

The bathroom is just as pretty as the rest of this cottage for rent.
