It's a nightmare when it happens: you flush and instead of evacuating, the water is overflowing! I hate it when it happens, because I'm always afraid of water damage (and worse !!!) on the floor of the bathroom.
Fortunately, it does not happen often: but next time, I'll be ready because I'm going to prepare this recipe, it's a very powerful unblocker!
- 2 cups baking soda
- ¼ cup Epsom salt
- 8 tablespoons dish soap
- Muffin tins, ideally made of silicone
Start by mixing the baking soda and Epsom salt in a bowl.
Add the dish soap, one tablespoon at a time, mixing each time.
Just add enough soap so the mixture looks like wet sand.
** If you do not have a silicone muffin tins (easier to unmold the balls), put baking paper in your metal muffin tins.
Place the mixture in the tins by pressing with your fingers to compact the mixture.
Let it dry overnight, then store the balls in an airtight container in the bathroom.
Next time your toilet is clogged, place a ball in the toilet bowl.
And pour 4 cups of very hot water into the bowl, close the lid and let it rest for a few hours (or at night if it's not so urgent).
After a few hours, flush the toilet and watch it flow normally, without damage!
